Overview

The Rabobank Group is an international financial services provider with activities in the fields of retail banking, wholesale banking, asset management, leasing, real estate and insurance. The emphasis in the Netherlands is on all-finance services, while the international focus is on food & agribusiness.

Rabobank’s distinctiveness does not lie so much in the products and services we offer, but rather in the way in which we carry out our activities. The Rabobank Group comprises 147 independent local Rabobanks and their centralised organisation Rabobank Nederland that has several subsidiaries. The various divisions within the group work in close partnership with each other. The organisation has more than 59,000 FTEs in 48 countries. The Rabobank Group has in excess of 1.7 million members and serves approximately 9.5 million clients worldwide. 

The local member Rabobanks
The local member Rabobanks are each independent organisations that have their own working area, own board of directors and own policy. They do, however, all share one collective mission: To help our clients realise their needs and ambitions. Each and every client can consequently count on professional and reliable advice tailored to his or her individual situation. This is why we go beyond simply offering suitable financial solutions. We aspire to play an active and stimulating role in the lives of our clients. And we fulfil this function based on the co-operative philosophy that we can make each other stronger by working together.

Rabobank Nederland
Rabobank Nederland is the centralised organisation and in this role it serves the local member Rabobanks and the group divisions. We provide market support for businesses, retail clients and private banking clients through a range of activities including the development of new products. We also furnish a number of centralised support services for the local member banks and the entire Rabobank Group. These support services are provided in areas including Group ICT, Corporate Social Responsibility, Human Resources, Legal and Fiscal Affairs, Knowledge and Economic Research and Communications. Rabobank Nederland furthermore exercises supervision over the local member Rabobanks on behalf of De Nederlandsche Bank.

Rabobank International
Rabobank International is the international banking arm of the Rabobank Group. We focus on international wholesale and rural & retail banking activities based on a worldwide network. The focus is on food and agribusiness clients. Rabobank International is committed to being the best financial link for the different chains within the worldwide food and agribusiness sector. This commitment extends not only to the fields of production, processing and distribution, but also to the areas of risk control and sustainable solutions. We are also active in the field of corporate finance and securities.
