Rabobank International focuses on the wholesale activities in countries worldwide, including the Netherlands, and the retail activities outside the Netherlands. This division of the bank has activities in the Netherlands, Europe, North and South America, Australia/New Zealand and Asia. It has a worldwide office network, with branches in 30 countries and an employee base of about 15,800 FTEs globally.

Rabobank International Wholesale
The wholesale arm of Rabobank International focuses on corporate clients and professional products. A range of services are offered within professional products including corporate finance, trade & commodity finance and private equity products. Global Financial Markets and Rabo Securities, which are the investment banking divisions of Rabobank, also form part of Rabobank International Wholesale. Global Financial Markets is responsible for all sales and trading activities on the financial markets, both for all Rabobank Group divisions and its clients. Business lines including Corporate Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions and Food & Agri Research provide international corporate relationship management services. The activities span a broad spectrum from advising on mergers and acquisitions and share transactions to credit lending and arranging special financing constructions.

Rabobank International Wholesale is committed to gaining market share in the years ahead in market and client segments that are considered strategic. The emphasis is also on further intensifying the relationship with existing clients and ensuring optimum client service. In fulfilling these aims, Rabobank International Wholesale focuses primarily on all the links in the worldwide food & agribusiness chain. Within the Netherlands, Rabobank International Wholesale continues to perform the role of all-finance bank. The related aim in this area is to become the preferred bank of choice in the wholesale market. The services are being optimised worldwide in order to ensure that further growth can be achieved in the coming years. The main focus of this process is on finding ways to further expand the level of services provided to clients.

Rabobank Rural & Retail
The Rabobank International retail network is comprised of all the international retail and farmer finance activities. The banks that form part of the international retail network include Bank BGZ (Poland), Yes Bank (India), Rabobank Chile, ACC (Ireland), RI Indonesia, Rabobank Australia, Rabobank New Zealand, Rabobank NA (USA), Rabo Agri Finance (USA), Rabobank Brazil, Rabobank Curaçao and Finterra (Mexico). Rabobank International Retail furthermore includes an International Retail & Products division. This business unit is located in Utrecht, the Netherlands and coordinates investment management, governance, portfolio management, product development and branding worldwide.

Rabobank International Retail is dedicated to strengthening its presence in the food & agri sector. It is also looking at possibilities for attracting more savings deposits worldwide. The focus will furthermore be on creating synergies and exchanging expertise and experience among the different banks that comprise the Rabobank International retail network. The possibilities for enabling Rabobank International retail clients to benefit from the innovative solutions developed within Rabobank International Wholesale are also being explored.
